Marisol Gutierrez is the daughter of James and Maria Gutierrez. During her time at SBHS Marisol has earned the distinctions of Hispanic Recognition, KRGV-TV Student of the Week, and is a San Benito High School Superintendents Hi-5 Honoree. Additionally, Marisol has been actively involved in the SBHS Leo Club and has earned over a hundred community service hours. Marisol will be attending Texas A&M University in College Station and pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science. Following the completion of her degree Marisol hopes to pursue a career in tech company in Game Development. Marisol Isela Gutierrez - ValedictorianJonha Edward Luna - Salutatorian Jonha Luna is the son of Nora and Luis Luna. Jonha has participated in an assortment of extracurricular activities and has received various recognitions. This past school year, he played varsity football and was President of the Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society. Furthermore, Jonha was a member of Rho Kappa, Leo Club, and participated in Academic Decathlon. Jonha was also recognized as a Hispanic Scholarship Fund YLI Scholar during his Junior year and is the recipient of the Gates Scholarship, providing him a full ride. This upcoming fall, Jonha will be attending The University of Texas at Austin as part of their Engineering Honors Program. He plans to major in Mechanical Engineering. After his studies, Jonha hopes to utilize his degree to push the boundaries of whatever industry he ends up in. Ideally, he hopes to work in the field of Aeronautics and wishes to inspire others of similar upbringing to his own.
